Eligibility
- The scholarship will be open to Indian nationals belonging to OBC as notified by the Central Govt./State Govt./ UT Admin.
- The student should be a regular, full-time student studying in a Government School or in a School recognized by Govt. or a Central/State Board of Secondary Education.
- She/he should not be getting any other Centrally-funded Scholarship.
Award & availability
Stated amount: 9,000 Course Hostellers (in ₹ per month) Day Scholars (in ₹ per month) Group A 1- Degree and postgraduate level courses including M.Phil., Ph.D., Post-Doctoral Research in Medicine (Allopathic, Engineering, Technology, Planning, Architecture, Design, Fashion Technology, Agriculture, Veterinary and Allied Sciences, Management, Business Finance/Administration, Computer Science/Applications) 2- Commercial Pilot License courses from GOI institutes (including helicopter pilot and multiengine rating)(Maximum 20 slots per annum): In addition to maintenance allowance, an amount of ₹5,000 per flying hour for a maximum of 200 hours will be paid by the state govt with the approval of the govt of India 3- Postgraduate diploma courses in various branches of management and medicine 4- CA/ICWA/CS/ICFA etc 5- M.Phil., Ph.D., and Post-Doctoral programmes (D.Litt., D.Sc., etc) 6- LLM 750 350 Group B 1- Graduate/postgraduate courses leading to a degree, diploma, or certificate in areas like Pharmacy (B.Pharma), Nursing (B Nursing), LLB, BFS, other paramedical branches like rehabilitation diagnostics etc., Mass Communication, Hotel Management and Catering, Travel/Tourism/Hospitality Management, Interior Decoration, Nutrition and Dietetics, Commercial Art, Financial Services (e.g. Banking, Insurance, Taxation, etc.) for which entrance qualification is minimum Sr Secondary (10+2) 2- Postgraduate courses not covered under Group A e.g. MA/M.Sc/M.Com/M.Ed./M.Pharma. etc. 510 335 Group C All the other courses leading to a graduate degree that are not covered under Groups A and B e.g. B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. etc. 400 210 Group D All post-matriculation level non-degree courses for which entrance qualification is high school (Class 10), e.g. senior secondary certificate (Class 11 and 12); both general and vocational stream, ITI courses, 3-year diploma courses in polytechnics, etc. 260 160 The number of scholarships is subject to availability for more please visit the

Selection process
- All eligble OBC Students Will be given scholarships.
- Candidates belonging to one State but studying in another State will be awarded scholarships by the State to which they belong and will submit their applications to the competent authority in that State.
- Scholarship will be available on the basis of merit only. Other Info Documents Required: 1- A passport-size photograph of the student with the student's signature. 2- Academic certificate/diploma/mark sheet. 3- Caste certificate duly signed by an authorized Revenue Officer (RO). 4- Family income certificate (Note:- If self-employed, an income declaration affirming definite income from all sources through an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper). 5- Receipt acknowledging the scholarship in the previous year (for renewal, if applicable). Mode of Disbursal To ensure timely payment of scholarship amount to the beneficiaries, the State Government/UT administrations are requested to avoid cash payment of scholarship amount and are required to issue instructions to all concerned that payment of scholarship should be made directly to beneficiaries through their accounts in post offices/banks with phased transition to Smart Cards. Duration of Awards The award once made will be tenable from the stage at which it is given to the completion of the course subject to good conduct and regularity in attendance. Renewal of Awards It will be renewed from year to year provided that within a course, which is continuous for a number of years, the scholar secures promotion to the next higher class irrespective of the fact whether such examinations are conducted by a University or the Institution.
