CALGARY MAKINSON FAMILY BURSARY
The Calgary Makinson Family Bursary aims to support excellent students who are pursuing studies at the University of Calgary. It is offered to UG students entering their second, third, and fourth year of B.Com degrees at the Haskayne School of Business. 1. Two recipients will receive Calgary Makinson Family Bursary. 2. It is offered to eligible students considering their financial needs and involvement in their studies. External applications for Calgary Makinson Family Bursary are required to be submitted online to be considered for the same. Eligibility
Prospective applicants who wish to secure Calgary Makinson Family Bursary must meet eligibility criteria given below:
- Must be continuing UG students who enter the second, third and fourth year in B.Com at Haskayne School of Business.
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the school.
- Must have at least a GPA score of 2.60
- The students who have scored excellent grades in the previous semester will be considered for the award.
- Must have completed their last previous Fall and Winter sessions as a full-time student.
- The students who opted for spring and summer courses are not entitled to apply to these scholarships.

Application
No Separate Application or Fee is Required to get the scholarship, it will be automatically considered, once you enrolled for the program. Separate application has to be completed in order to be eligible for Calgary Makinson Family Bursary. Applications must be submitted online at the University of Calgary portal. Applicants must follow the steps listed below to complete the application process for the scholarship:
- Access Student Centre in myUofC portal of the University of Calgary.
- In the Student Centre section, select the "My Financials" page.
- Click on the Awards & Scholarships section, and click on "Apply for Undergraduate Award’s
- A number of applications for the different scholarships will open. Select Calgary Makinson Family Bursary. Complete all the details.
- Send in the required student supporting documents, along with the application and submit it.
Selection process
Once the application for Calgary Makinson Family Bursary is submitted. Next Comes the selection process. The selection committee for the bursary will evaluate applicants based on the following factors:
