1. The BPL Scholarship scheme for college students is implemented by the Department of Higher Education, Chhattisgarh. 2. To provide financial assistance to meritorious students from BPL category families to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies. 3. The scholarships are awarded to students of Chhattisgarh state studying in Graduate and Post Graduate courses. Eligibility
- Student is studying in any Government college of Chhattisgarh, under Higher Education.
- Student’s guardian must have a BPL card.
- Student is not getting the benefit of any other scholarship scheme.
- Students should pass the annual examination on the first attempt.
- Student attendance should not shorten.
Award & availability
Stated amount: 500 The rate of scholarship is Rs.500/- per month (up to 20 months) for postgraduate level students and Rs.300/- per month (up to 30 months) for Graduate level students. Disbursement of scholarship- Scholarship is disbursed through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode i.e. directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiary. To have seamless disbursal of scholarships, students are required to seed the Aadhar with the bank account. Renewal Applicant- Renewal applicants will get full scholarship i.e. Rs. 3000 for UG classes and Rs. 5000 for PG classes. No Application Fees is Required. Before initiating registration process, students are advised to carefully go through the instructions of State /NSP portal. Step 1- Please visit on Official website. Step 2- After visiting the official website, read the instructions carefully. Step 3- Keep your photo, signature, and other essential documents. Step 4- Take an application printout for further use. - Bank passbook for filling in bank details
- Aadhar card No.
- A valid mobile No.
- An E-mail ID It is advisable not to change the mobile number for the duration of the scholarship. After registering yourself, Login to the NSP portal to apply for scholarship.
Selection process
- Applicant is required to submit requisite documents to the Institute.
- Application that is not verified either by the institute or by the concerned State Govt Office or by both will be treated as Invalid.
- The online applications would be verified at two levels: a- By the Institute where the student is studying. b- By the State Govt office.
