BHARAT INCLUSION SPRINTS
Bharat Inclusion Initiative (BII) is an effort towards bringing the benefits of technological progress to underserved populations. Led by IIMA Ventures (Formerly known as CIIE.CO), BII is supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, J.P. Morgan, MetLife Foundation, the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation and Omidyar Network. The Initiative focuses on incubating and backing startups that work in areas such as financial inclusion, livelihood, skilling and health. All startups supported by the Initiative use technology as leverage to increase reach and build products that serve the underserved. For ambitious entrepreneurs working on problems of the Bharat market, the Bharat Inclusion Initiative provides domain knowledge, training, financial support, mentorship and market access they need to bring inclusive, for-profit businesses to life. It supports businesses serving the Indian mass market through programs, fellowships and funding where possible. Bharat Inclusion Sprint is an assemblage of short deep dives into topics of interest for Bharat Entrepreneurs. With Sprint, we make entrepreneurs aware of the different tools available at their disposal as they go about solving some of the toughest Bharat problems. Our previous sprints included a masterclass on what it takes to build billion-user scale platforms, a workshop on how emotions drive financial decisions and many such.

Award & availability
Stated amount: Not Available Varies per sprint/project. In previous editions, individual winners received grants ranging from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1,00,000, sometimes more depending on the specific sprint. This is not fixed; it depends on the sprint and the number of shortlisted winners. Usually 5–10 teams or individuals receive awards per sprint.

Selection process
Applications will be evaluated for the selection process. Other Info Bharat Inclusion Sprints are sessions by IndiaStack experts, researchers, speakers and founders who will share insights and best practices. At a Bharat Inclusion Sprint, you can expect a highly interactive group of participants solving for tough problems and creating successful products for BHARAT. Over 1100+ participants have been part of in-person and virtual journey so far. The Sprint includes sessions on India Stack APIs and their use-cases. We also feature entrepreneurs, leading experts, and practitioners in the field of financial inclusion. Participants get the opportunity to learn from their research, experiments and established best practices for creating successful products for the Bharat market.
