The Nehru Memorial Museum and Library invites applications for Atal Bihari Vajpayee Fellowship on Prime Ministers of India from outstanding scholars. The fellowship is about researching on the Prime Ministers of India and the Prime Minister's Office. A total of 2 scholars will be selected for this 2-year fellowship where they would be receiving a remuneration equal to Professor scale of Central Universities of India.

Eligibility
The fellowship opportunity is open to research scholars who are interested in pursuing research on Primer Ministers of India and Prime Minister's Office.
Award & availability
Stated amount: 30,000 Fellows will be reimbursed contingent expenses up to the ceiling limit of Rs.30,000/- per annum, which they may incur on travel, purchase of stationery, books (not available in our Library), typing, photocopying, etc. The claims may be submitted by the Fellows in the prescribed Performa along with supporting cash memos, and receipts/details of expenditure every month to the office for reimbursement. Selection process

- The duration of the Fellowship will be of two years with no provision for extension. नियम एवं शर्तें
- उन आवेदकों को प्राथमिकता दी जाएगी जो अपने शोध के लिए एनएमएमएल के अभिलेखीय रिकॉर्ड का उपयोग करेंगे।
- फ़ेलोशिप की अवधि दो वर्ष की होगी जिसमें विस्तार का कोई प्रावधान नहीं होगा।
- फ़ेलोशिप शुरू होने की तारीख वह होगी जब फ़ेलो सक्षम प्राधिकारी को शामिल होने की रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत करेगा।
- फेलोशिप स्वीकार करने पर, जो फेलो रोजगार में हैं, उन्हें फेलोशिप की पूरी अवधि के लिए अपने मूल संस्थान से छुट्टी/अनापत्ति प्रमाण पत्र प्रस्तुत करना आवश्यक है, ताकि वे अपना पूरा समय उस परियोजना के लिए समर्पित कर सकें जिसके लिए वे हैं फेलोशिप से सम्मानित किया गया है।
- चयनित अध्येताओं को परिणाम घोषित होने की तिथि के एक माह के भीतर कार्यभार ग्रहण करना होगा। इसे केवल सक्षम प्राधिकारी की मंजूरी से अधिकतम 30 दिनों की अवधि के लिए बढ़ाया जा सकता है।
- फेलो को एनएमएमएल में अपने निष्कर्षों की एक प्रस्तुति भी देनी होगी।
- यदि विशेषज्ञ समीक्षा समिति कार्य की प्रगति को संतोषजनक नहीं पाती है, तो इसे विचार और आवश्यक कार्रवाई के लिए निदेशक, एनएमएमएल के समक्ष रखा जाएगा।
- अध्येताओं को स्वयं को शोध के विषय तक ही सीमित रखना चाहिए और समीक्षा में केवल उसी के संबंध में किए गए कार्यों को ध्यान में रखा जाएगा।
- अध्येताओं को एनएमएमएल शैक्षणिक कार्यक्रमों में भाग लेना आवश्यक है। प्रत्येक फेलो को एक वर्ष में एक औपचारिक प्रस्तुति देनी होती है।
- The date of commencement of the Fellowship will be when the Fellow submits a joining report to the competent authority.
- On accepting the Fellowship, fellows who are in employment are required to produce leave/no objection certificate from their parent institution for the entire term of the fellowship, so that they will be able to devote their full time to the project for which they have been awarded the fellowship.
- Selected Fellows have to join within one month after the date of declaration of result. This can be further extended for a maximum period of another 30 days with the approval of competent authority only.
- The Fellow would also have to make a presentation of his/her findings at the NMML.
- In case the Expert Review Committee does not find the progress of work satisfactory, it will be placed before the Director, NMML for consideration and necessary action.
- The Fellows should confine themselves to the topic of research undertaken and work done in relation to that only would be taken into account in the review.
- Fellows are required to take part in NMML Academic programmes. Each Fellow is required to make one formal presentation in a year.
