ASSAM - PRE-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP FOR SC STUDENTS (CLASS 9TH &10TH)

1. Students should belong to Scheduled Caste.
2. His/ her Parent/Guardian's income should not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakh per annum.
3. He/she should not be getting any other Centrally-funded Pre Matric Scholarship. However, the benefit of the National Means-cum- Merit scholarship scheme of D/o School 4 Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development can be availed by the beneficiaries of the Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC students.
4. She/ he should be a regular, full-time student studying in a Government School or in a School recognized by Govt. or a Central/State Board of Secondary Education.
5. Scholarship for studying in any class will be available for only one year. If a student has to repeat a class, she / he would not get scholarship for that class for a second (or subsequent) year.

No Application Fees.

1. First-time applicants need to register with the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
2. To begin, they should navigate to the ‘Applicant Corner’ section and select the ‘New Registration’ tab.
3. Candidates must provide all the necessary information in the registration form and click on the ‘Register’ button to complete the process of registration.
4. A unique student application ID and password will be generated upon successful registration, and these details will be sent to the registered mobile number.
5. After registration, applicants must log in to the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) using the newly generated ID and password.
6. OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to the registered mobile number in order to change the password for added security.
7. Once the password is updated, candidates will be directed to the ‘Applicant’s Dashboard’ page.
8. On the Applicant’s Dashboard page, applicants should click the ‘Application Form’ tab to begin the process of scholarship application.
9. Applicants should ensure that all the required supporting documents, such as those verifying their identity and academic eligibility, are uploaded as part of the application process.
10. Candidates should carefully review all the information entered in order to complete the process of scholarship application.
11. Applicants may finally proceed by clicking the ‘Submit’ button.

1. All eligible Scheduled Caste candidates will be given scholarships as prescribed in this Scheme.
2. Candidates belonging to one State but studying in another State will be awarded scholarships by the State to which they belong and will submit their applications to the competent authority in that State. Other Info Scope
3. This scholarship is only available to students pursuing their studies in India, and it is offered by the respective governments of the states and administrations of the union territories.
4. Students can avail the benefits under this scholarship programme if they are studying in a school recognized by the government.
5. Governments have an added responsibility to find and support the poorest and needy students from all the eligible groups.
