Embark on a transformative journey with the YSP Foundation Programme, a certified five-day residential programme and a unique interdisciplinary adventure. Under the mentorship of Ashoka’s global faculty, scholars will traverse a multidisciplinary landscape, exploring subjects from Literature, Psychology, International Relations, and Environmental Studies to Applied & Behavioural Sciences, including Data & Computer Sciences, Biology, Astrophysics. YSP Foundation Programme is tailored for ambitious high-schoolers, from grades 9, 10, 11 & 12, eager to delve into college-level liberal arts and sciences, and for those looking to gain a comprehensive understanding of foundational disciplines. YSP Foundation Programme sessions are led by Ashoka’s world-renowned faculty, industry experts, leaders of today, and prominent personalities. They’ll engage with stalwarts in their fields, applying an interdisciplinary and experiential learning approach to contemporary themes. Ashoka University organizes 5 inspiring programmes- 1. YSP Foundation Programme 2. YSP Frontiers of Science (FoS) 3. YSP Tech, Data & Computer Science (TDCS) 4. YSP Economics, Policy & Society (EPS) 5. YSP Entrepreneurship, Leadership & Impact (ELI) and, YSP Advanced (YSP Foundation Programme + any other programme) YSP also offers motivated & talented students the option of taking YSP Advanced (YSP Foundation Programme + any other programme), over a 10- day certified programme on campus. The academic and personal enrichment over the 10-day period covering an interdisciplinary exposure across the liberal arts and sciences not only prepares students better for higher studies, but for life beyond. Students can choose to return home or stay on campus during the weekend and participate in a range of special activities.

Eligibility
- High School Students from all over India are eligible to apply.
- Students who appeared in class 12th board exams are NOT eligible for YSP.
Award & availability
Stated amount: Not Available The scholarship covers full or partial tuition and boarding at Ashoka University’s programme. Exact amounts vary depending on need and merit, but previous cycles indicate that selected students may receive: 100% tuition coverage (for fully meritorious candidates), or Partial scholarships covering 50–75% of tuition/boarding. Ashoka University also provides support for travel and living expenses for residential programmes. The YSP-A is highly selective, with approximately 10–20 students selected per year.
Application
Application Fee: INR 500/- to be paid along with submission of the application form Applicants will need to fill out an online form giving their high school marks and submit an essay. They should demonstrate intellectual curiosity and have the ability to explore ideas. This is a fully residential programme and students will live on the Ashoka campus for a week.
Selection process
A holistic selection process is designed to determine the potential merit of the students. The evaluation is based upon academic performance and, co-curricular activities, and the essay to be written as part of the application. Other Info YSP also offers motivated & talented students the option of taking YSP Advanced (YSP Foundation, Liberal Arts & Sciences + any other stream), over a 10-day certified programme on campus. The academic & personal enrichment over the 10-day period covering an interdisciplinary exposure across the liberal arts and sciences not only prepares students better for higher studies but for life beyond. Students have the option to stay on campus or return home for the intervening weekend between the 10-day period.
