APJ ABDUL KALAM SCHOLARSHIP
APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship is an opportunity offered by the Department of Minority Welfare, Government of Kerala to students belonging to minority communities of the state and pursuing 3-year diploma courses. The main objective of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship is to provide opportunities to people who are not able to continue their education due to a lack of financial benefits. People who are currently pursuing diploma & undergraduate degrees in organizations will be able to get this scholarship. Students who come from the economically backward section of society will get the benefit of this scholarship. They will be able to continue their education without worrying about any financial issues. A lot of benefits will be provided to the students including the travel expense. This scholarship aims to support students from weaker sections in pursuing diploma courses from government/aided polytechnics. The selected candidates will receive financial help of Rs. 6,000 per annum. Eligibility
- This is a minority scholarship and thus can be applied by students belonging to minority communities such as Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi, and Jain.
- Annual family income must be less than ₹8,00,000.
- Only natives of Kerala can apply.
- The applicant must be pursuing diploma courses from a government/aided polytechnic on a merit basis.
- While disbursing this scholarship, BPL candidates are given preference.
Award & availability

Selection process
- First All the application forms will be evaluated.
- After evaluation, eligible candidates will be shortlisted for the scholarship.
- Shortlisting of candidates will be done by authorities. Other Info Documents Required for Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship The following documents must be submitted for this scholarship:-
- 10th class Transfer Certificate.
- Copy of Family Annual Income Certificate.
- A scanned copy of the mark sheet of the last exam passed.
- Copy of Identity card issued by the University.
- Death Certificate of parents of the Candidate (in death cases only).
- The application must be attested by the Dean of the institute/ Head of Dept./ Director of Centre.
