ANU College of Business and Economics Honours Scholarship is offered to the most deserving students who wish to pursue higher studies at ANU. Each year the ANU College of Business and Economics (“the College”) may offer up to five awards known as the College of Business and Economics Honours Scholarships (“the award”). The objective of the award is to recruit high calibre students into the College’s Honours programs. Funding for this award has been provided by the College. Eligibility

Students must meet the admission requirements at ANU College of Business and Economics to be eligible. In addition to that, applicants must :

  1. Be domestic or international students who wish to study in Australia.
  2. Must have applied for a full-time honours program at ANU College of Business and Economics.
  3. The applicant should be well-qualified for the program to be considered for the scholarship. The Ongoing Eligibility is:
  4. A recipient of the award is required to enrol in a full-time load of 24 units per semester.
  5. Recipients are expected to maintain a 70% average in each semester.
  6. If a recipient is unable to achieve the 70% average in their first semester they risk having their award terminated.
  7. A recipient is given the opportunity to explain their performance and how their performance can be remedied before a decision on the termination of an award is made.

Award & availability

Stated amount: 839,752

  1. The scholarship of 15, 000 AUD (8, 39, 752 INR) per annum is funded by the college. The cost is provided in equal instalments to the students.
  2. The scholarship amount covers the semester fees of the student. All other expenses are the responsibility of the student.
  3. If the student decides to defer his admission to the college, they will lose the scholarship opportunity.
  4. The value of the award is stated in the letter of offer. The duration of the award is two semesters following the awarding of the scholarship. The award is paid in two equal instalments after the Census Date, unless otherwise stated in the letter of offer.
  5. The recipient is responsible for making payment of all tuition fees by the prescribed date as set out by the University each session. Recipients of this award are responsible for the costs of books, study materials, accommodation and all other costs of study. No. Of Scholarship- 05

Application

No Separate Application or Fee is Required to get the grants, it will be automatically considered, once you enrolled for the program.

  1. There is no application as students are automatically considered based on them meeting the eligibility criteria or conditions prescribed under the Eligibility section.
  2. The College will shortlist candidates among the selected students for the program based on their grade point average (GPA) or weighted average mark (WAM) in their previous courses before enrolling for honors.

Selection process

  1. Selection is made on the basis of academic merit. Eligible candidates will be ranked according to their Grade Point Average or Weighted Average Mark (WAM) calculated from the completed courses upon which eligibility for entry to the Honours program was determined.
  2. The award is offered to a student by a Selection Committee chaired by the Associate Dean Education which will include the Director of Student Learning and the Director of Engaged learning.
  3. The College reserves the right to make no award if it considers there is no applicant of sufficient merit. The College may also vary the number of awards (where the budget allows) and/or offer the award at other times in exceptional circumstances or based on the standard of applications or students. Other Info CONCURRENT HOLDING OF OTHER AWARDS A recipient of the CBE Honours Scholarship is not permitted to concurrently hold other scholarships, awards, grants and bursaries. Failure to declare and obtain permission to hold another award or scholarship may result in the scholar being required to refund a payment or payments to the College, as determined by the Registrar/Dean/Delegated Authority of the College (or nominee). REPAYMENT OF FUNDS Subject to the information available at the time, the Dean of the College of Business and Economics (or nominee) may request that the payment for the semester in which the breach of conditions or withdrawal occurs be refunded in part or in full. PROVIDING FALSE INFORMATION ​​​​​​​The awarding of this scholarship is based on the information provided to the University. An award may be withdrawn at any stage if incorrect, false or misleading information is provided or relevant information is withheld. This includes circumstances where the false information is unrelated to the assessment in awarding the scholarship.
