The Fly Your Ideas Challenge encourages students to activate their pioneering spirit and innovate for the future of aerospace. With support from Airbus experts, we want teams to tackle global challenges to create a safer, cleaner and better-connected world. Challenge 2024 Business models- What else could be done with aircraft other than transportation? How can this revolutionise the passenger experience? Design engineering- How can artificial intelligence support aircraft design and/or manufacturing? Sustainable materials- How can the aerospace industry leverage innovative and eco friendly materials to enhance aircraft performance while minimising environmental impact? The best 6 teams that present the most innovative solutions, will get through to the next stage. Selection process
The top 2 teams will then receive an exclusive invite to Farnborough International Airshow. The final, held at Farnborough Airshow 2024 on Friday 26th July 2024*. Where the top two teams will get the chance to further progress their ideas, and battle it out in front of our judges. - Fly Your Ideas is an exciting challenge and competition for university students across UK, France, Germany Spain and The Netherlands
- In teams of 3, students will tackle genuine key aerospace challenges by proposing their unique solutions using their latest academic knowledge.
- Airbus will set three key challenges addressing Sustainability, Artificial Intelligence, and Business Modelling. Teams will then choose one to answer as part of their submission.
- Participants will learn new skills, grow their network and enhance their current and future employability. Teamwork, innovation and knowledge sharing are at the core of the challenge.
