Eligibility
- The fellowship/contingency will be granted to 2(Two) scholars perQIP Centre of AICTE. Each QIP Centre will augment the process for selecting candidates as per the eligibility criteria for grant of National Doctoral Fellowship.
- Maximum 2 scholarships will be granted per QIP Centre.
- The candidate must have secured aggregate marks of 75 % or above at M.Tech level in addition to this, he should have qualified through GATE in last 5 years.
- The Candidate should be less than 30 years of age as on 31st August of year of application however age relaxation of 5 years would be applicable
Award & availability
Stated amount: 28,000 The candidate will be provided the fellowship of Rs. 28,000/- per month + House rent allowance wherever the hostel accommodation/Institute accommodation is not available as per the rates of Ph.D Scholarship notified by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education Total number of fellowships: 02

Selection process
- Candidates will be selected by the QIP Centre of AICTE by giving wider publicity.
- QIP Centre will submit the proposal to the AICTE which will be assess by an expert committee of three members not below the rank of Associate Professor and at least one member among the expert from the concern stream. Other Info Terms and Conditions
- The awardee shall submit an annual report on the progress, each year through the Head of the Institute on completion of one year.
- The final progress report should be submitted by the awardee through the Head of the Department / Institution to the AICTE.
- The awardee shall not be allowed for transfer of award from the Institution where the Awardee is presently working during the entire tenure of the award.
- The awardee shall devote full time to research during the tenure of Fellowship and will not be permitted to take any part time/full time assignment.
- The approval of the Council before accepting any award or allowance, if offered during the tenure of Fellowship.
- The awardee shall give a declaration that if the results of research are such that can be exploited commercially by taking a patent or otherwise commercial exploitation and patent rights should be with the candidate & institute & guide if contributed.
- On selection of the candidates each QIP Centre will submit the details of bank account of the beneficiary duly aadhaar seeded for the purpose of releasing fellowship/contingency amount directly in his/her bank account through DBT.
