A.B. MCKIE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Students who want to secure A.B. McKie Memorial Scholarship must also fulfil admission requirements at the University Of Waterloo.

1. Enrolled in the fourth year of a UG program in the School of Accounting and Financial Management.
2. Excellent cumulative marks in courses in undergraduate tax sequences AFM 361 and 461; or AFM 362, 363, and
3. A.B. McKie Memorial Scholarship program doesn’t have any restrictions in terms of student’s nationality and residency. Both domestic and international students will be considered and given equal consideration.

Students are considered for A.B. McKie Memorial Scholarship based on academic excellence. The eligibility requirements state the minimum cumulative scores required. However, preference will be given to students who surpass those requirements. The selection committee may evaluate academic documents submitted at the time of admission and also average scores of the last three years of the UG program in accounting and financial management. 1. For the A.B. McKie Memorial Scholarship students must be in year four of their program.
2. Applicable for only the Accounting and Financial Management program at Waterloo.
3. Recipients of the A.B. McKie Memorial Scholarship will be awarded 1,000 CAD.
4. Annually two recipients are selected for the scholarship, based on academic merit.
5. The scholarship will be awarded at the beginning of the Winter term at the University of Waterloo. The A.B. McKie Memorial Scholarship award amount must be used for the payment of tuition fees only. Applicants and recipients must also note that it is a non-renewable program.
